The Provincial Waterworks Authority is a state enterprise within the Ministry of Interior and under the supervision of the Board of Directors. PWA's main duty is to search for sources of raw water and then supply clean, potable water for domestic, industrial, and other related purposes countrywide at the lowest possible prices. Today, the provincial Waterworks Authority owns and operates 224 waterworks, serving people in all provinces except Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan. Over 10 million people use water supplied from PWA waterworks. |

ประวัติความเป็นมาของกรมส่งเสริมการปกครองท้องถิ่น กรมส่งเสริมการปกครองท้องถิ่น เป็นส่วนราชการจัดตั้งขึ้นใหม่ในสังกัดกระทรวงมหาดไทย ที่มีบทบาทภารกิจสำคัญในการส่งเสริมสนับสนุนองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น โดยการพัฒนาและให้คำปรึกษาแนะนำองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในด้านการจัดทำแผนพัฒนาท้องถิ่น การบริหารงานบุคคล การเงิน การคลัง และการบริหารจัดการเพื่อให้องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นมีความเข้มแข็ง และมีศักยภาพในการให้บริการสาธารณะ ทั้งนี้ อำนาจหน้าที่และโครงสร้างส่วนราชการของกรมส่งเสริมการปกครองท้องถิ่น เป็นไปตามกฏกระทรวงแบ่งส่วนราชการกรมส่งเสริมการปกครองท้องถิ่น กระทรวงมหาดไทย พ.ศ. 2545 |

The Provincial Electricity Authority is a government enterprise under the Ministry of Interior, established under 1960 Act by the Royal Decree executed on 20th September 1960. Then published in the Government Gazette on 27th September 1960. The authority’s responsibility is primarily concerned with the generation, distribution, sales and provision of electric energy services to the business and industrial sectors as well as to the general public in provincial areas, with the exception of Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakran provinces. |
